Tells the remarkable story of Dublin in the 20th Century
Little Museum of Dublin tells the remarkable story of Dublin in the 20th Century. The museum opened in 2011 with a public appeal for its historical objects. The response to that appeal illustrates the generosity of the Irish people: today there are over 5,000 artifacts in the collection.
Named as “Dublin’s best museum experience” by the Irish Times, Little Museum of Dublin was nominated for a European Museum of the Year Award and has full charitable status. Children attend free civics classes here every morning, and our greeter programme, City of a Thousand Welcomes, has been described by the Sydney Morning Herald as “the best free thing to do in Europe.”
Our goal is not to sell an ideology but just to remember the past. If you like the sound of what we’re doing, please visit the museum today.
