Mother's Day in Dublin - Dublin Visitors Centre

Mother’s Day in Dublin

Treat your Mam on Mother’s Day in Dublin

Less than a week to go until Mother’s Day so time to book something special to show your mother how much you care.  Do not fall into the Trap of listening to her when she says, ”sure I don’t need anything’. Spoiler alert, Garage flowers just won’t cut it.  On behalf of all mother’s everywhere a hand-made or a thoughtful card and breakfast in bed is mandatory.  In addition to the mandatory  Breakfast in bed and a hand-made or thoughtful card, its time to dig deep and spoil your Mam.  Remember she brought you into the world and she can take you out of  it with the flick of a tea towel

Dancing

For people with younger children …. Dance the afternoon away to 90’s dance music at the Body Soul alternative Mother’s Day Family Rave Wigwam on Abbey Street. Picture it glo-sticks galore, glowing babies adorned with UV face paints & parents  reliving their misspent youths.  Play bubbles for the Children and real bubbles for the Mammy’s. There’s a bottomless  prosecco) brunch upstairs if you are planning on staying out.

Eating

Nothing says I love you like a fancy Afternoon Tea, Cute cakes, Miniature sandwiches, copious amounts of tea and off course the obligatory bubbles! Splurge at the Westbury, Merrion or the Westin. Mode modest budgets will be satiated at the Gallagher’s Bistro, The Morrison or the Silk Road Café in the Chester Beatty Museum behind Dublin Castle.

Drinking

Fancy a cocktail with your Mother, how about taking it one step further and treating her to a cocktail Master Class ??  The expert mixologists at NoLita on South Great Georges Street will be sharing the secrets on creating the ultimate cocktails before unleashing you to create your own tasty concoctions. Naturally there will be prosecco and bubbles on hand to help fuel your creativity.

There’s definitely a common theme of bubbles in the above ideas but if it not broke than why fix it. Whether she’s Mammy, Mom, Mum, Mam or even Ma tell her you love her and wish her Happy Mother’s Day from all of the Staff and the Dublin Visitor Centre.
