Dublin Tradfest 2015 is taking the city by storm
The Dublin Visitor Centre team have already posted some of the great headline acts and venues that make up Tradfest 2015.
As a reminder, Temple Bar will host Tradkids, Tradfringe and loads of front row acts really worth seeing including Irish artist Mundy (Think ‘My July’). Check out events playing in pubs and venues all over Dublin’s creative quarter but for convenience we’ve included three Tradfest 2015 acts not to be missed!
Playing three gigs over the weekend, Paddy Casey will be a busy man indeed. Paddy has been on the Irish music scene since 1999 and his breakthrough second album ‘Living’ launched his career internationally. Tap your toes along to famous tunes like ‘Saint’s & Sinner’ at one of these not to be missed gigs. Don’t worry if you don’t know the words everyone else will!
Another upcoming Tradfest gig taking place in Temple Bar will be the The Dublin Legends, world class Irish musicians who came together after the world-renowned Dubliner’s retired from the music scene. The Dublin Legends play homage to The Dubliners doing covers of some of their biggest hits and Irish ballads. For traditional music lovers or those interested in Irish music culture this is a must-see performance.
Best known for his amazing cover of ‘Galway Girl’ Mundy plays throughout the weekend ahead. This talented Irish singer & songwriter learned his trade busking on Grafton Street and is currently working on his 6th studio album. Mundy has graced stages across Ireland and the UK, including Glastonbury. Watch the video of his amazingly catchy tune ‘July’ so you can sing along on the night!
