Get into Dublin’s nightlife

When on holiday knowing where to hang your hat for the evening can be a really tough decision. The Dublin Visitor Centre team had to do a lot of research to come up with our top picks for Dublin nightlife activities. The things we suffer in our love of promoting all things Dublin!!!

Go Salsa dancing! Salsa Dublin have classes every night of the week from beginner all the way to near professional! They’ll have you dancing the night away to some of the most infectious beats on the planet. Held in the RiverHouse Bar, right on O’Connell Bridge, classes start from 7pm and end with a DJ playing the best of Cuban tracks all night. A fun way to get the party started or to meet some of Dublin’s more adventurous locals.

Karaoke! You won’t admit it, but you love it! A night of Karaoke is always great ‘Craic’ and Ukiyo Restaurant and Karaoke Bar on Exchequer Street is every crooner’s paradise. Settle in for a night of good Japanese cuisine, tapas-style, and then head down to the custom-built Karaoke booths for a one hour session of fun singing along to classics like Bonnie Tyler & Madonna. For the exhibitionists out there, Club Nassau have Friday night karaoke sessions and the DJ will play nearly every song you ask for!

Wine tasting! For some, a more refined evening, challenging your taste buds, might be the preferred way to while away your evening. Dublin is packed with wine bars and several do regular wine tasting. Head over to Ely for an award winning wine experience. Located in the IFSC, near Connolly station, Ely hosts several wine tasting per month. Each focuses on a different region or grape and the session is served up by Ely’s highly knowledgeable in-house sommelier. Ely also have wine quizzes and introductory tasting at their Georgian Dublin location on Ely Place.
