The cost of renting in Dublin is still increasing

Are you shocked? Not me….

It’s now more expensive to rent than to pay a mortgage anywhere in Ireland! Indeed, the cost of renting has increased by 39% since 2008…

With a national average rent of €1366, but the average of Dublin is about €2002.

A mortgage on a three-bed home in Dublin 16 could cost €1,598, while renting a similar property could set you back €1,919.

According to Daft.ie, this massive rent increase is partly due to the number of available properties being at an all-time low.
