Thinking of going out for a drive this weekend, think again!!!
Yep, it’s that time of year again when we get to complain about being stranded as many others embark on a journey of a lifetime!
Okay, maybe it is not as serious as that but completing a marathon is hard work, well, so I have heard anyway!
Anywho, The 2019 Dublin Marathon takes place this Sunday and with it come to the usual road closures around the city. Some good news though, as most areas will remain unaffected, however, there will be areas that will be closed off to traffic for a large portion of the weekend.
So if you’re planning on getting in the car over the Bank Holiday weekend then you might want to grab a pen! Firstly, Merrion Square North will be closed from Friday at 19:30 until Monday at 16:00. With Merrion Square South closed from 06:00 on Saturday until 20:00 on Sunday.
And that is just the beginning of the madness as there will be temporary closures in place on Sunday in the Phoenix Park, Castleknock Road, College Road, Tower Road, Knockmaroon Road, Inchicore Road, Drimnagh Road, Templeogue Road and Roebuck Road. More information on these can be found here.
And again best of luck to all who are partaking this year, godspeed folks!!!
