We all know the St. Patrick’s Day Parade is cancelled. But what else?
The Government have decided to cancel all St. Patrick’s Day events based on the advice of health officials, according to Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
The news comes in light of the increasingly widespread Coronavirus in Ireland, which was recently declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation as recently as two days ago.
It has been advised that mass gatherings of more than 100 people and outdoor gatherings of over 500 should be cancelled.

Unfortunately, we are set to miss out on a host of events over the next few weeks.
Yesterday, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced that all schools, colleges and public facilities would remain closed until March 29. Varadkar also announced that all indoor mass gatherings of more than 100 people and outdoor gatherings of over 500 people should be cancelled.
Following the announcement promoter MCD released a statement: “Following today’s Irish Government directive to cancel all events of over 100 capacity (indoor) and 500 capacity (outdoor) due to take place between now and 29 March MCD Productions has now postponed all affected shows.”
